Renmore win 4.3 on pens

Killala had a host of chances to win this game in normal time but with the scorline 1-1 after the 90 Extra time was played and it finished 2-2 so it was down to the dreaded penos. It was Ronan Heffron who gave Killala the goal in normal time and Mark McLoughlin scored the extra time goal. In the shootout Peter McDonnell, Jonny McNulty and John Clarke scored from the spot but Renmore managed to score one more than Killala and moved into the next round. U-14 Boys Advance In Shield

The U-14 boys advanced to the next round of the Connaught shield by virtue of this win away to Sligo opposition.Killala started brightly and created numerous chances but failed to convert any and the first half ended scoreless.As the second half started Killala pressed forward and were rewarded with some great goals, the pick of the bunch an overhead volley by S Helly.The scorers were C Monaghan(1)D O Boyle(2) M Keane(2)S Helly(2)
