Killala 2 Ballina Town B 1 At Milebush Park
The U-14 boys won their second title in a row in a thrilling play-off final in Milebush Park this afternoon.Only three minutes into the game Killala fell a goal behind after a defensive mix up.Ballina were creating chances at will but could not find the net and suddenly Killala scored after some great work by O Boyle set up C Lally.Ballina continued to dominate and Killala were fortunate to go in 1-1 at the break.Killala shuffled the team at the break and looked a completely different team on the restart. The game flowed end to end and Killala created numerous chances before a R Sweeney free kick was volleyed to the net by K Healy. They continued to dominate and three minutes from time had a goal disallowed from a corner. However their was still time for J Flannelly to push a shot on to the crossbar and save the game going to extra time. When the final whistle blew their was great relief and celebration.

The U-14 boys made the short journey to S & F United , one of their title rivals and came away with a 1-1 draw. Both teams attacked from the start and killala created some great chances most of note from J Noone and O Boyle but the half ended 0-0.It was the same again in the second half with K Lally unlucky not to give killala the lead. Finally on sixty minutes D O Boyle went on a mazy run and scored after beating several players.S & F went all out in search of the equaliser and with the final attack of the game scored from a corner.A draw was probably a fair result and leaves three teams still with chances to win the league on the last say of the season.

Achill Rovers 3 Killala 4
Killala made the long trip to Achill this evening and came home with all three points after a hard fought win.Achill started with great pace and caught Killala cold within five minutes to take the lead only for the away side to level with a D O Boyle shortly after.Achill again took the lead and Killala can count themselves lucky to go in at the break 2-2 thanks to a well taken goal by R Sweeney. However Killala started the second period much brighter and scored two quick goals from O Boyle and Sweeney again.Achill scored again from the penalty spot and for the last ten minutes Killala had to defend for their lives and not without a few scares.
