Westport 3 Killala 2

The Visitors bowed out of the cup at the first hurdle with another inept display in Westport on Sunday morning. Giving away soft goals and missing easy chances is their hallmark this season and they were 3-0 down before they got going but left it too late with goals from Aileen Gilroy & Allana Naughton proving too little too late. Team Emma Varley, Emma Loughney, Eimar Feerick, Ailish Healy Sarah Farrel, Ciara McDonnell, Emma Gilroy, Allana Naughton, Graine McHale, Yvonne Gilroy, & Aileen Gilroy

Castlebar 6 Killala o

A nightmare 5 minute spell midway through the first half when Killala gifted the hosts 3 goals put this game out of their reach. Lack of concentration and discipline during this period cost them dearly and they will have to apply themselves more and step up to further challenges if they want to be a force in this league.
