So near yet so far.Killala U15 traveled to Achill U15 in a winner takes all match,as sadly Killala lost the league by a point as Achill won the game 7-2.The game started brightly for Killala who scored first but as the game went on Achill grew stronger and Aaron O’Boyle (2) goals were not enough as Achill ran out deserve winners.Team:Conor Rowland,Daniel Walsh,Derry Quinn,Fergal McHale,Paudrig O’Donnell,Alan Coultry,Cain Egan,Dominick Sweeney (capt),Craig McCormack,Aaron O’Boyle,Finn Lacey.Subs:Sean O’Flatherty,Ahodan McHale,Alan Donnelly,James Gillvarry,Cain Donnelly,Cain O’Donnell.I wud like to thank the players for their dedication and comitment to the season they had and go from strengh to strengh.Brian McHale thank you.

Killala U15 travelled away to Claremorris U15 tonite in a game which Killala were on top through out.Killala played some great passing football through Dominick Sweeney,Cain Egan,Fergal McHale up to the forwards Aaron O’Boyle and Craig McCormack.Killala won the game 11 nil with goals from Aaron O’Boyle (8),Craig McCormack (2) and Fergal McHale.Team: Cain Donnelly,Daniel Walsh,Finn Lacey,Fergal McHale,Derry Quinn,Alan Coultry,Cain Egan,Dominick Sweeney (capt),Craig McCormack,Aaron O’Boyle,Alan Donnelly.Subs: James Gillvarry,Sean O’Flatherty and Ahodan McHale.

Killala U15 traveled away to play Glenhest U15 tonite in the league,Glenhest who are top of the league were up against a very spirited side from Killala in a very close game the game was end to end football from too very close teams,they went in at half time 2-2 all but in the second half Killala put up the pressure on Glenhest and came out on top winning the game 7-4 with goals from Craig McCormack, Finn Lacey, Alan Coultry and Aaron O’Boyle (4). Killala U15 traveled to play Snugboro U15 in the Sheild tonite, in a match which was won by Snugboro by the score 9-5. The first half was fairly even between both teams and Killala were very lucky to go in at half time 4-2 down with goals from Finn Lacey and Aaron O’Boyle. Killala U-15 boys started offf their campaign with a 7-1 defeat to Claremorris in Division 1 of the league at courthouse street this evening.Playing in a tough division killala were trailing by 5-1 at the break. A much improved second half saw the home side compete much better and create a few chances only to concede two more goals in the final five minutes.
