Killala ladies never got going in this league match
in Kilmore on Saturday. Despite beating the same opposition 6-1 at the venue 6 days earlier they never showed the same hunger to take the points on offer. Two dubious goals before halftime which was shortened to half an hour because of another game being played at the venue, put the homeside in command but despite all the pressure from the Killala girls in the even shorter secondhalf , Kilmore held on to their lead . Team: Dierdre Devine, Nicola Leonard, Sarah Farrell, Olivia McGloin, Martina Walker, Ciara McDonnell, Sharon Hughes, Elaine Lowther, Emma Gilroy, Yvonne Gilroy, Niamh Collins

Westport United 0 Killala 9 Killala Ladies got back to their winning ways on Sunday morning at the Sportspark in Westport. Niamh Collins opened the scoring with the goal of the match, a thirty yard strike that left the Westport keeper helpless, shortlyafterwards Emma Gilroy was pulled down in the box and sister Aileen scored the first of her seven goals in succesion which left the homeside in shock. Five of her seven goals came in a 10 minute period before halftime in what can only be described as an exhibition in finishing. With the score 6-0 at the break further goals by Aileen Gilroy and one from Ailish Collins gave the visitors their biggest win of the season. It was an all round excelent team performance by Killala who now go on to play Lagan Harps ( Letterkenny) at Courthouse St. in round 2 on the 21st June. Team Sorcha McGee, Sarah Farrell, Nicola Leonard, Martina Walker, Olivia McGloin, Ciara McDonnell, Aishling Murphy, Emma Gilroy, Ailish Collins, Niamh Collins, Aileen Gilroy Sub Used Aoife Herbert

Killala 0 Glenhest Rovers 2 In this cup tie played at Glenhest on Saturday evening Killala left out a number of regulars and gave first starts of the season to Kevin Whyte Matt Webb, David Cadden, Marc McDonnell, Richard Lynn and Brendan McNulty. The visitors set the early pace but the in-cohesion of the team was evident as they consistently gave away good possesion in the final third. The loss of Rory Gallagher on 44 mins through injury who was a constant threat to the Glenhest defence handed the initiative to the home side and there more determined second half performance was rewarded with two late goals. Jonny McNulty had a shot off the bar and Alan Murphy had his chip cleared off the line as Killala fought to get back into the game. Team Kevin Whyte, Mark McLoughlin, Matt Webb, Noel McLeish, Jonny McNulty, Marc McDonnell, Ronan Heffron, David Cadden, Ritcie Lynn, Rory Gallagher, Brendan McNulty Subs Used Lee Cummins, Alan Murphy, Stephen Hannick and Martin McLoughlin
