In attrocious conditions at the valley , Killala managed to to earn a point in their battle to stay in division one. Killala gave first starts of the season to David Boyd, Martin McLoughlin and Peter McDonnell as they battled to over come a list of nine players who were unavailable due to injury suspension and work commitments.But the team looked balanced and despite a first half of constant bombardment from a wind assisted rovers team young keeper David Boyd had only seen his goal breached on one occasion. The second period was all Killala with Kevin Whyte, Noel McLeish ,Jonny McNulty and Martin McLoughlin all had chances before Peter McDonnell swung in a corner that flew in at the back post to give his team a point but on the balnce of play they could have got all three .Team David Boyd, Matt Webb, Aidan Ferguson, David Cadden, Peter McDonnell.
