Killala continued their good early season form with an easy win over this young and improving Kilmore team at the Kilmore Sports grounds on Wednesday evening. Alanna Naughton opened the scoring and a quick brace by Rachel Healy settled the visitors. Playing some good football the Killala girls gpt three more before the break through Alanna Naughton Niamh Collins and Aileen Gilroy to end the game as a contest. A flurry of changes by both sides saw the game lose its edge in a windy second half but Killala still managed more goals by Alanna Naughton (3 ) Aileen Gilroy and Aoileen Collins. Snugboro Utd 1 Killala 3
The Killala ladies picked up 3 more points on their travels with a good 3-1 win over a strong Snugboro side in Conway Park on Sunday. Killala scored after 20 mins when Ailen Gilroy finished off a good move. Despite having all the possession they failed to add to this before the break despite having numerous chances. Aine McLean scored from the spot early in the second half but the home side almost immediately pulled one back from a corner to keep themselves in the game. Aileen Gilroy wrapped it up with a fine individual goal near the end to seal it for the visitors. Ballina Town 1 Killala 6
The Killala girls had an easy win over Ballina Town at Belleek last night. Without top scorer Aileen Gilroy, the injured Elaine Lowther and a number of other regulars who were on holiday , Killala were slightly aprehensive facing into to this normally fiercly contested local derby but goals fron Niamh Collins, Alanna Naughton and Eilish Healy gave them a comfortable half time lead. Niamh and Alanna scored again in the second half and a goal from Aoilean Collins made it six before the town pulled one back with a late free kick. The Killala girls dominated this match from start to finish and it was only the heroics of the opposition keeper and the well organised defence kept Killala at bay.Aileen Gilroy scored twice in the secondhalf , one from the spot , to give the girls the points. The under 12-boys ended a losing streak when they overcame Snugboro in the last home match of the season .In an entertaining match goals by B Lawlor and S Mc Andrew saw Killala come out on top.Both sides missed several chances at goal. Achill Rovers 2 Killala 4
Killala u-14 boys capture league title with away win in Achill.The match started with Achill taking the lead after five minutes, Killala equalised on ten minutes with a D O Boyle goal. Straight from kick off Achill got number two only for Killala to level again from M Keane. S Helly gave killala a half time lead soon after. The second half started in similar fashion with both teams attacking and the all important next goal came again from S Helly.Killala finished up deserved winners and the only team to leave Achill with points this season.

Six Goals from striker Aileen Gilroy and a brace from Rachel Healy and Sorcha McGee gave the visitors an convincing halftime lead in The Green in Ballinrobe on Tuesday night. The Homeside pulled a goal back after the break but goal of the game from Eilish Healy and another from Martina Walker completed the Killala girls dominance. Killala 3 Snugboro Utd 1
Killala U-14 boys go three points clear at the top of division after this hard earned win over their nearest rivals.Killala went ahead after three minutes with a well worked free kick on the edge of the box by D O Boyle.Ten minutes later it was 2-0 thanks to a super strike by M Keane.Just before half time an unfortunate og left the score2-1 at the break.On the restart both sides attacked with purpose but it was Killala who got the all important goal again by M Keane.A very exciting game ended with both sides having had plenty more chances.This was a real team performance. Kilala now travel to Achill Rovers next Wednesday where a win will give them the title.
